Revolutionary Waste Oil Burner: A Free Energy Solution
Revolutionary Waste Oil Burner: A Renewable Energy Solution
The title is a bit much but I figured to grab your attention. Now that the cold weather is once again settling in it is that time of year when I start working on different ways to heat the shop without breaking the bank. In this video we are building a waste oil burner that gives off no smoke and actually burns very clean. Did I also mention that it is free heat?

    Anything wrong with using a good electric chainsaw for the less precise deeper cuts? Could pretty easily fabricate a clamp on guard to prevent over cut.

    How did you figure out how to tighten the bearing caps properly. Im restoring a much bigger Flathers 14 inch but uses same bearing setup (as the majority did). Im guessing it is torqued to a loose friction fit. So the spindle rotates smoothly but that is all i can think of.

    • @TheTradesmanChannel
      @TheTradesmanChannel 16 днів тому

      It's a matter of preference and tool availability for most. I have cut tenons just about anyway you can think, right down to hatchets and axes. Sometimes I'll put big timbers on my sawmill and cut the tenons that way, I've used my chainsaw mill many times as well. What I'm saying is that there are many ways to achieve the same outcome and if it comes out right, then you're not wrong.

    I just bought a 1973 Gravely 816S Riding Mower with the front end kit that contains the rotary plow, I was told it was a tree auger used for planting trees, and a post hole digger. It's just a longer version of the rotary plow. I used it for planting 28 various trees and bushes. That thing is a beast. It also came with the mower deck and I can't believe how nice of a job it does cutting the grass. It seems like a small brush hog. I really love it. Sad thing is yesterday after digging the last hole for me tree the shaft came off and it broke the one end where it connects to the PTO. I need to see if I can get it replaced.

  • @SmeeUncleJoe
    @SmeeUncleJoe Місяць тому

    If you have cats, stay away from any coolant that has ethylene or propylene glycol in it, which is almost all of them. Cats are attracted to it and will try and lick it up. They also get chips in their paws they try and lick out. A few licks and they will blow their kidneys out. A lingering death over a couple of weeks, I lost two cats and one got quite sick before I realized what was happening. There are warnings all over the internet but none on the bottles of concentrated coolant like Kool Mist. I've switched to a lard, mineral oil, paraffin slurry and it works well on stainless.

    I just finished replacing the arbor bearings on my 1992 Delta Contractor's Saw. A middling difficult job as I had to make bearing pullers and a few other things. The bearing is a standard 6203 LS but an RS is fine as well and are readily available. The biggest problem with these saws is keeping the blade parallel to the miter slot and by association the fence. Unlike a cabinet saw, the trunnions are bolted to the table so you have to adjust the trunnions instead of the top. Several years ago I found the blade was 0.010" out of parallel so I set out to fix it. I eventually totally dismantled the saw and removed the trunnion and drilled out the trunnion bolt holes 1/32 oversize to gain some "slop" allowing me to adjust the parallelism. Now, I check it once a year and have it down to 0.002" of being parallel. I've built a lot of fine furniture as well as cutting decking and construction lumber. This saw was about $400 in 1992 and now all the saws in that price range use crappy universal motors and are direct drive; nothing but a circular saw bolted to a table. To get into a lower end belt drive is $1700-2000. A higher end cabinet saw will run $3K and up.

Sweet - ya nailed it. Pre-split that stove pipe and hold with duct tape or use black pipe and just leave it in. Then you don't have to worry about the galvanize gassing off. So what iff'n that black internal stove pipe breaks down. I got the impression your first bag said 'play sand'. AND you speak of sand -- Where did the kitty litter come in?
